Dear:

Gayle:

We grew up together. I remember holiday parties at your parents' house, and hanging out with you and your brother. When exactly did you lose your ability to check your facts before passing on false information? I've been monitoring the propaganda pap that you've been e-mailing to my Dad. All those "bad bad Libs, Holy, Holy GOP" ones.

See - anything that sounds too "emotional" is something that I check with Snopes or some other "urban legends" or "truth" site. There's a lot of misinformation being diseminated by BOTH sides, but it seems that those on the "conservative" side are working just that little bit harder.

Early in the Bible, Moses is told "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor". Every time you forward on one of those emotion-laden anti-Liberal Pro-Bush e-mails without checking first to see if it is truth, you are breaking that commandment. Period.

The ACLU, and other organizations, do enough things that I don't agree with all on their own. You really don't have to TELL LIES about them for me to be skeptical of their agenda. But don't come waving your Christian banner at me if you are going to be LYING and spreading LIES. I won't believe you.

Accounts Payable Clerk:

Quit lying to me. Quit telling me you're going to pay this week, then not running a check. No excuses. STOP IT.

Accounts Receivable Clerk

I'd be able to pay you a lot faster if I didn't have to spend fucking HOURS on the phone answering your stupid questions about why you weren't paid. Call once. I'll tell the truth.

And when I ask for a copy of an invoice - understand that I'm not doing this to piss you off, or to make YOUR personal life a living hell. I'm trying to get you PAID, DIPSHIT!! Or I'm trying to avoid having my boss contest your credit-card charge to my bill! Quit being a dork and fax/e-mail the damn invoice already!!

Manual checks suck
Manual Checks Suck
Manual Checks SUCK
MANUAL CHECKS SUCK

PASS IT ON

Word of the day: "Pretexting"

Oh my, my - bad bad Hewlett Packard.

Seems their board of directors decided to do some impersonating of folks to get information on who was "leaking" information to the press.

It amazes me, however, that the media has had to "invent" a new word for this practice. Seems we already have enough words -

Fraud
Identity Theft
Misrepresentation
Lying

What is really sad is that only 11 states have laws against what I shall call "FIML". Apparently the federal government has passed a weak and gimpy bill to combat this, but considering the Shrub's administration and it's love for lies, misrepresentation, fraud, secrecy, intrigue, cloak & dagger James Bond antics, is it any surprise that the bill has no real "guts"?

Tell ABC to tell the truth about 9/11 - A project of ThinkProgress.org

*Sniff* I smell elections in the air...

The days are getting shorter. The yellowjackets are in full swing. The garden is beginning to show signs of moving toward hybernation. The nights are very cool, there is fog/dew on the windshield in the mornings, and a crisp "ripe apple" kind of scent and feel to the morning breeze. November is rushing toward us.

Gas prices are down. In some places as much as 50 cents a gallon - and dropping.

The secret CIA prisons have been outted, and Shrub-Boy is defending them as if they were LEGAL.

What "Immigrants" (<-Read "Wetbacks") want is no longer a priority, since someone told Bush "They can't vote, idiot!"

And now suddenly, Iraq is taking over resposibility for it's own security. Wow. How does this happen? I mean, just a couple of months ago, the Generals over in Iraq said there was only ONE small group of Iraqi soldiers who were ready to be in charge of their own area - and now the whole COUNTRY is being turned over?

Can this all be because of Tony Blair's indication he's going to resign? Or do you smell electioneering the way that I smell it? Are you expecting a "terrah alert" any second, the way I am?

Don't get me wrong - I'm THRILLED that there is some progress in the war to bring home American soldiers from illegal, immoral wars of imperialism. However, I don't see this as being progress - I see this as blatant "electioneering" by Bushco. How much would you Neocon Freeper Dittohead Annie-Banannie Addict Lemmings want to bet that as soon as the elections are over, it will suddenly become "IMPERATIVE" that the control of Iraqi forces return to the Americans, that the price of gas skyrockets, and that Shrub-Boy starts bullying congress for another amnesty for illegals program?

Hmmmmm????

Yahoo Headline: Bush Reminds Americans U.S. is at War

"BUSH REMINDS AMERICANS U.S. IS AT WAR"

As if we forgot. As if seeing the numbers of Americans that Bush has murdered in Afghanistan and Iraq edge ever closer to the number that Bin Laden killed on 9/11/01 didn't remind us every single day that we are engaging in an illegal, immoral and fruitless "war on terrah"

Yes, we just got so caught up in the newest incarnations of "Survivor" and "American Idol" that we FORGOT that Bush is murdering our soldiers on the other side of the planet.

Thank you so much for reminding us, Shrub Boy. We'll be CERTAIN to remember that in November...

(btw - morning number for post-healthy-eating? 131. I'm gonna slap this Dr. stupid.)

Numbers

Ok, I admit it. Last night I was BAD.
Very BAD.

Instead of eating a healthy, nutritious, well-balanced low-carb and high protein/fibre dinner, I ordered a damn pizza.

Stuffed crust, 1/2 mushrooms & green pepper, 1/2 sausage. And a LOT of Diet Pepsi

Now, pizza crust = bad, right? So how come this morning before breakfast, instead of some gawdawful high number, the blood sugar was only 112? And tonite, before dinner - DESPITE COLD PIZZA FOR BREAKFAST..., only 91?

See - I think this doctor is nuts. Yeah, I have blood sugar fluctuations, like everyone else does. But It's NEVER up even near over 150, and usually around 130 or so, which is higher than my Dad's doc wants his to be, but dayum, you'd have thought given what this Dr. was saying, that I was like ready to go blind and have my feet cut off and stuff.

Anyhow, the 91 is a bit low - and I was a bit headachey, so with my lovely 1/2 baked apple, (cinnamon and Splenda) - pot-roasted brisket of beef and boiled cauliflower, I had a nice glass of orange juice.

Freaking health food compared to the pizza. Watch my number be 148 tomorrow morning.

Meh.
