My nasturtiums are blooming all over. I should send you a picture. One of my little lily plants bloomed yesterday, and my pot of wildflower mix is blooming. I saw the first sweet pea flower pod yesterday. The zucchini have several teensy ones but I've not seen a baby fruit on the tomatoes, though there are lots of blossoms.

The major problem here is the weather. It's just not been warm enough long enough for the plants to do well. I got out with my new hoe and did a lot of weeding yesterday. Once I finish work I will go out today and cut blackberry vines down.Leandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01816481043872352018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12969277.post-90866736426389243402007-06-27T22:23:00.000-05:002007-06-27T22:23:00.000-05:00Question: How many people do you hug in a week?Question: How many people do you hug in a week?BBChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15323188240580782454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12969277.post-62447408741303335842007-06-27T21:57:00.000-05:002007-06-27T21:57:00.000-05:00My daughters name came from Gone With The Wind. Good movie.

What is the big deal about a zucchini?

Over here they pester you to take it off their hands, it's like a frigging weed.

Chicago, I just don't get it. It's just a bunch of cement and asphalt with potholes in it. Really, been there, done that.

Now if you will excuse me I have to go water my dandelions with their smiling faces. And just what idiot was it that decided a flower that makes great wine is a weed? I cram in as much as I can, which creates overcrowding for the plants, but also crowds out a lot of potential weeds.

As a kid, we used to live surrounded by woods and marshes and weedy meadows. I remember exploding milkweeds and cattails to watch the seed pods go floating off. Dandelions too. Now I am a dandelion murdererer.Sewmousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01698392521648800227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12969277.post-73505225138311536782007-06-27T12:55:00.000-05:002007-06-27T12:55:00.000-05:00Good luck with the garden. I loved to play with the seed pods as a kid,(fluffy white seeds made good parachute toys),so I let it grow until a neighbor complained. It was hard to take it down.Doctor Rickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12411251620284978742noreply@blogger.com
